Kidde’s Mobile FireTrainer® Lights up the 2007 NY Chiefs Conference


The New York State Association of Fire Chiefs conducted two days of intense firefighter “Hands On Training” using a Kidde Mobile FireTrainer® ML-1000 live fire training system.

Safe staffing levels increase public safety

In November 2005, Arlington County, Virginia, received an $800,000 SAFER grant to allow the Arlington County Fire Department to hire eight new fire fighters.  Those fire fighters officially began on the job on June 22, 2006.

Hanlontown, Iowa
The Hanlontown Fire Department of Hanlontown, Iowa recently took delivery of a $254,000 Marion/Spartan custom pumper made possible through a Fire Act grant received in September of 2005.

W. R. Castle/Rockhouse, Kentucky Fire Departments
The W. R. Castle Fire Rescue has a force of 35 members who protect about 3,650 people within the 42 square miles of their response district. Their busiest year for responses was 177. Last year they made nearly 140 calls for assistance.
